New kids on the block

Courtesy of the newly released CAA media guide (PDF file), here is a look at the freshman joining the squad this year (page 13):
No. Name Pos. Ht. Wt. Hometown/Previous School
2 Andre Cornelius G 5-10 169 Charlott e, N.C./Victory Christian
3 Kevin Foster F 6-7 206 Lakeland, Fla./Kathleen
5 Brian Henderson G 6-3 179 Gaithersburg, Md./MacGruder
10 Jimmy Nolan G 6-0 170 Plantation, Fla./Archbishop McCarthy
22 Michael Morrison F 6-9 215 St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood
24 Ryan Pearson F 6-6 220 Far Rockaway, N.Y./Christ the King
Keep in mind that Nolan and Henderson are walk-ons. A lot of talent in this group but also a lot of inexperience. 6 freshman is a lot for any program to harbor, let the learning process begin.

Excellent reading material, Ryan. Thanks for the post. Question...does anyone else consider it insulting that the defending CAA champs don't get one player on the cover? No Jon Vaughan, our most decorated senior returning?

That's bulletin board material to me...

Kevin Foster @ 6'7", 206 lbs?
Michael Morrison @ 6'9", 215 lbs?
Ryan Pearson @ 6'6", 220 lbs?

I'm sure these measurements are slightly inflated, but even still, it's nice to see us getting some real size on our team! 6'9"! I'm stoked. Let the M&M chants begin.

Disclaimer: I admittedly know nothing about any of these players. :(

As I have posted a few times on this blog, Here are a few highlights of Michael Morrison's league all-star game. He is #22. A few things to look forward to as he learns the game. Hopefully if he hits the weight room he will get the chance to posterize that string bean with a 14ft wingspan, otherwise known as larry sanders.

This season will basically be a wash.

If we can get a .500 conference record and make the NIT I would be happy.

Actually if we went .500 in conference we would never make the NIT, I guess I would be happy with a CBI berth.
