First look at the schedule...

Ok, here is what we know the schedule will look like for this upcoming season so far:

Nov.15 - at Vermont
Nov.17 - BROWN
Nov.29 - Ohio U.
Dec.30 - at Dayton

TBA:
at Hampton
at East Carolina
at Liberty
Mount St. Mary's

Nothing too exciting yet and I doubt we will see any major teams enter our out of conference schedule in the weeks to come. And honestly I don't mind that considering the inexperience of next season's team. It's definitely a transition year and these teams are not flashy but they also are not RPI killers. I would not mind seeing at least one top mid-major road game added, preferrably from the MVC or the A10 but that is wishful thinking at this point.

I suppose that I'm mistaken, but I thought Duke agreed to a home-and-home. Or maybe I was just dreaming of a crushing defeat for the Blue Devils in Fairfax.

Trent,
you are referring to the 2006-2007 season when we traveled to Cameron to play the Dukies. That was not a home and home deal, it was a major program paying a smaller program for a W on their home court. Happens all the time. The Blue Devils would never travel to Fairfax.

You mention the A-10, Ryan...and that's something that intrigues me as well. I wonder why we don't play UR anymore, especially since they used to be one of our rivals in the CAA. I guess their britches are too big for the little old CAA nowadays (I seem to recall them actually being GOOD in the CAA, yet things haven't been the same in the A-10...).

Looking forward to another season...

it looks to be a boring season (in terms of any big guys coming to the Patriot Center). Oh well, we'll take back-to-back CAA titles.

Don't sleep on Dayton. They have a silly sophomore named Chris "Top Flight" Wright. Check him out on YouTube. This kid can jump out of the gym.
