Don't have a good feeling about tonight. Mason doesn't have that one guy who can take over a game, something you need to win against good teams on the road.
Our best hope is that Penn State and crowd come out flat because of being snubbed for the NCAA Tournament.
I don't see us winning but I hope I'm wrong. A second round matchup against Niagara or Rhode Island is definitely winnable.
However, after reading this quote from the Penn State coach I now like our chances.
"they play really well on the road.”
They know jack shit about us, time to make them remember the name George Mason!
haha I was just about to post that exact same quote.
No offense but I literally laughed out loud when I read that.
But good point, they obviously don't know much about us.
Why didn't we foul!?!?!??!!?
I'm going to vomit...
Well at least it wasn't 20 points. And at least it wasn't Pringle that beat us, cause that would just have been nasty. Who knows where his hands have been tonight.
I don't understand why you don't foul at the end of regulation. Stupid mistake by either the coaching staff or the players. Just dumb. Great effort, but what a crappy end to the season.
Pretty good game until Coach L miscoached by not fouling. Would like to have seen more from the seniors. The freshmen did well. Was it just me, but the commentators were awful. Senseless banter and misidentified player names.
Ryan - Thanks for allowing us to watch the game on your blog. I don't get ESPNU so I was glued to my computer. Too bad my DSL is only a hair better than dial up. I can't wait for FIOS.
Our guys gave this game everything they had and if it wasn't for a lucky 3 point shot at the end of regulation they would have won the game. What I would like to see is an out of conference game with teams like Penn State or Notre Dame next year. We can't get these match ups until post season.
I agree about the miscoaching, but Mason looked much better again PSU than they had against VCU in the conference championship. Our defense was there for the last shot; it was just a lucky shot that fell for PSU. In OT, we ran out of gas. I am looking forward to next season for Mason. We have many promising players.
Yeah Next Season should be very exciting-lots of "young guns." If they can keep their egos intact, GM will be a very good team. Would like to see Isaiah Tate emerge as a legitimate 3 point threat.
