If the CAA tournament started today...

George Mason's latest meltdown has now put them into probably the most unfavorable matchup section of the CAA tournament bracket. Not that the tournament really seems that winnable for this group but nevertheless they only have four more games to get into that #2-#3 side of the bracket.

I find it hard to believe we can win 3 games in a row when we've only done it twice all season.

Don't look now, but JMU has a big game against NE this Wednesday, because if they win that one, and with the way the remaining schedules look, they'll have a pretty good shot at taking over the #1 seed. That would seem to carve out a roadmap of Drexel, JMU, and the Delaware/NE winner to the championship. That works for better for us. IMO whatever roadmap that has us playing Delaware or NE only once is best for us because those two teams pose our greatest challenge.

Just remember that Mason plays their best ball in neutral and away settings (at least as of this writing). Considering that there will be next to no one when they play in Richmond minus the Mason fans who make the trip (maybe 1000), it can't hurt. My optimism is dwindling, but anything is possible in this CAA.

I stopped looking for the favorable match up. these guys just need to play well with 40 minutes of consistency. The opponent doesn't matter nearly as much as how soft we can be on the boards, sloppy on D, inefficient on offense-whether its passing, shooting of standing still. Again the post-game commentary from PH was baffling. They just didn't have an energy, etc. What motivates these guys? They weren't up for a home game-on Homecoming none the less??? And Ron Hunter had his guys amped to play despite no post-season possibility. this makes no sense. Add to it Hunter explained an actual game play that they had. They have no direction and that is why they are such a mess.

I can careless who Mason plays with in CAA Tourny. Mason does not deserve a spot in any post-season game.
