George Mason heads to Towson for first CAA game

So how bad are the 0-6 Towson Tigers right now? Scary bad. They have lost each of their six games this season by an average margin of 28.5 points.  They don't look to be much improved over last year's 0-18 CAA campaign and with a new coach at the helm it will take some time.  They have some talent coming in next season but this year is a rebuilding phase and I expect them to be in the CAA basement again.  They rank dead last among CAA teams so far this season in most statistical categories and have been the worst shooting team in the conference.  They average more than 23 turnovers a game, so hopefully we won't be discussing how bad Mason is handling the ball in this one.  Every game in the CAA will be crucial this season and it could very well be a close race into February to reach the top of the standings.  Mason has been playing better recently but they are hardly standing out strong from the rest of the CAA, which as a whole hasn't been doing great

I would expect freshman Corey Edwards to not be active again as a precaution for his mild concussion, giving Bryon Allen another night logging 30+ minutes.

Expecting a 20+ point win....we can't let teams hang around...UVA will be tough

Anything less than at least a 10 point win should be considered a loss.

CAA will defintely be a one bid league this year.

First line is funny!  But I also agree if we can blow through this one what's in your head going down to Charlottesville?  We now have a second chance at a good non-conf win with UVA taking down Mich but man that means we have to play a really good game and contain Scott.

Idk about a 1-bid league yet...if there are two teams that have lets say 4 conference losses or less heading into the tournament and play each other in the championship game...depending on who those teams are, I think we can still get 2 teams.

Right now it looks like a one-bid league, but the season isnt even half over. If CAA RPIs' improve then it'll be 2 teams for sure. Still alot of basketball to be played until March.

I agree Patriot 74.  There are plenty of good non conf games left for the CAA with plenty of time to recover.  Most importantly, if we have another Bracketbuster weekend in Feb. like last year, we could certainly push for a second bid.

once we get back Cornelius at the point, this team will start to distance itself from the rest of the CAA teams....just like it did last year.  However, this year look for them to win the tourney down in Richmond.  (need to move the CAA Tourney to D.C. and get big time folks!)
