2006 Final Four team to be honored with bobbleheads

George Mason released their promotional schedule today and this season they will be honoring the 2006 Final Four team with bobbleheads of the starting five from that season. I think Mason fans have been waiting for something like this as the five year anniversary of this team's memorable run is approaching. Personally I think the Tony Skinn bobblehead is closest in resemblance.

Here's the dates they will be available:

December 1: Folarin Campbell
December 4: Tony Skinn
January 15: Jai Lewis
February 5: Lamar Butler
February 12: Will Thomas

Update 11/10:

A lot of people have been emailing me asking if the school will be selling the bobbleheads, here is what I found out.

The bobbleheads themselves won't be for sale individually but I've been told by the university that they will have a few complete sets available for auction on GoMason.com later this season.

The dolls are cute but how about retiring some jerseys and hanging them on the rafters??? It would begin a nice tradition.

Definitely agree, the fact that George Evans jersey isn't hanging from the rafters is ridiculous.

It seems to me that our program just keeps LIVING off of 06.

We need a postseason win so we can shake off the notion in the media that we were a 1 hit wonder...

All the same, the bobbleheads are a great idea, and I'm in for a set. Ryan, please let us know if/when these things can be ordered!

Hahahahaha what are you saying mason won the CAA in 07 and had success before 06, any knowledgeable college basketball fan knows mason is not a "1 hit wonder"
