Kevin Foster to transfer, Cam Long suspended for tonight's CIT game

Steven Goff, Washington Post reporter who often covers George Mason basketball games when he's not reporting on soccer news just tweeted this:
"George Mason basketball news: Kevin Foster to transfer, Cam Long suspended for tonight's CIT tourney game vs Fairfield"
-The Foster transfer shouldn't be too much of a surprise. His minutes varied all over the place during the season and commenter Christopher says he heard Foster felt like the coaching staff wasn't helping him reach his potential. However I'd be pissed if this turns out like the Vlad Moldoveanu transfer.

-If Cam Long is suspended tonight it will be the fifth time a player has been suspended by Larranaga this year and Luke Hancock will be the only Mason player that played in every game this season.

Heard about the Foster deal a month or two ago from one of the players. He doesn't feel like he's being developed as a player/will never reach his full potential here, at Mason.

It also has to do with him having a kid back in Florida, from what I've heard. Don't understand why he'd want to sit out another season though so I feel like it could be more of a personal decision.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm glad Cam is not going to play this game. I've been wanting to see these young guys ball without having to think Cam has to be the deal maker here.

GreenandGold, don't take offense to it, lol.

I believe that's 5 suspensions this year.

We have been a dysfunctional mess this year.

Larranaga has a lot of work to do this off-season.

Possible replacement for Foster, perhaps this 6'8" 245lbs kid who went to the same high school as Ryan Pearson

No offense taken Variaban. One Player does not make or break a Real TEAM. Yes, dysfuntional mess is a great way to put it C Hirsch

I'm excited. With so much "raw talent" maybe we will get to see 40 minutes of one-on-one basketball.

Can't close out a game. With a 20 plus point lead they can't keep a team down while still maitaining a lead. Same story as every other game this season even the ones that were won. Big leads and they let the other team in to make it close or lose the game.

I turned this horror movie off before the CIT ending and just would have grinned if I saw this game. Only Mason can lose these type of leads. There is real talent on this team so I don't know what's wrong. But we'll need more next year than a box of Jello and Coach L giving out citations for not being a perfect citizen. Something needs to change. For now, I'm just glad this season is over.
