Big Willie in Belgium

Seems like Will Thomas is picking up the Euro game pretty easily so far. In his first game, which his team won, he had 11 points and 11 boards in 29 minutes. It's much easier for an American forward to produce in the Euro leagues than it is for an American guard but still an impressive showing against some Euro vets. Thomas has great fundamentals and that "old school" style of play that Euro coaches love and will definitely help him across the seas. It would be great if he could fine tune his skills even more and get a second look at an NBA career. Am I just dreaming?

Thanks to everyone that sent this in.

That is great info and pics about Will. Is there anymore info about past Mason players. That would be an intresting article about were they are now. George Evans, Avery Cary, Tremaine Price, Jai Lewis, so on and so forth.

You know, I wish the Mason website would have a section to follow former atheletes, It's so hard to follow them in the euro leagues. I think it's important to rememeber them, especially the players before 2006, they all paved the way for our run, and those to come...

Great Site! Just ran into it.

As for other GMU greats, Gabe Norwood plays for the Philippine National Team and was 1st draft pick in this year's Philippine Basketball Association.
