Cornelius can't get here fast enough

Star Mason recruit Andre Cornelius had a terrific day yesterday for the U.S. Team in the Capitol Classic. Granted it was an all-star game showcase with no defense it was still impressive to witness Andre dish out some of those passes. One would almost have to wonder if Chris Fleming is going to be able to handle those no-look passes. His speed was also impressive and I cannot wait to see him blow by CAA opponents in Fairfax. If you missed it check out the clip below where scenes of Cornelius start at the 45 second mark, he is #10 on the red team. Don't ask about the music in the video, it scares me too.

Why the Fleming cheap shot?

He always hustles and he stepped it up in the CAA tourney.

It's not like this is a post game, um, post where Fleming played poorly - let's not degrade Mason players for no reason.

From the Washington Examiner:

Slashing point guard Andre Cornelius (13 points, eight assists) seemingly has big-time talent. But at 5-foot-11, he wasn’t going to land at a major college program. For which George Mason is thankful.

Hurley called him “a great, great steal.”

“I guess that’s why [Mason] wins as much as they do, because they’re really good evaluators of who they can get and he’s a great get,” Hurley said of Cornelius.

He needs to improve from the perimeter. But he knows that and said he is shooting 1,000 times a day.
