Full 2012 Paradise Jam tournament bracket revealed

Last week we posted that George Mason would be slated against Mercer in the opening round of the Paradise Jam tournament, taking place this November in the Virgin Islands. Yesterday GoMason.com posted the full bracket for the tournament which includes the game times. George Mason will play Mercer on November 16 at 3:30 pm EST. Keep in mind the game times are in Atlantic Standard time (add one hour for Eastern Standard time).

"Interesting" brackets....an ACC and Big East match-up in the first round?  They are obviously not seeded match-ups

Wake Forest has been a joke recently. Seemed like it is somewhat seeded if you ask me. New Mexico would be #1, UConn #2.

Actually, wouldn't you subtract an hour to go from Atlantic to Eastern time?  As a Central Time Zone guy, I'm always having to subtract that hour from you EST folks!

The math is the math; the geography is the geography.  I think someone at gomason read the charts wrong.  Anyway, they have 5 months to straighten it out.
I like the fact that Mason plays before New Mexico.  If we beat Mercer, we can relax a bit afterwards and scout the Lobos.

I guess I am looking at this from the this from a "biased historical perspective", where as a promoter you don't risk losing your big name, big conference, schools early in any tournament .Obviously, there must be other concerns at issue here....With all things being equal, I don't think there is any way that match-up Iona vs. Quinnipiac is the equal of U.Conn v. Wake Forest. But, its mid-November, so who cares?
