Mike Morrison to play professionally in Belgium

Senior forward Mike Morrison posted this morning on his Facebook page that he is heading to Belgium to play professionally. He also mentions that he is still going to graduate on time, so we don't have to worry about Mason's APR score taking a hit. Here is the Belgium team's website release of the news. Morrison will be remembered most for his high energy and emphatic dunks. Now more memorable than the one that sealed an NCAA tournament victory over Villanova in 2011. Good to see Morrison getting this opportunity as he vastly improved his offensive efficiency this past season.

The last George Mason player to play in Belgium was Will Thomas and he had a lot of success there. Thomas played most recently for Armia in Georgia and averaged over 17 points a game last season. We still haven't heard any news on where Ryan Pearson might end up but I imagine he will be playing somewhere overseas as well.

That is great. Sat with him a couple years ago at one of those event dinners and it was great. Talked about foul shooting-shoot until you make one, shoot until you miss and keep records of both. Wish him the best and along with the Rock n Roll hall of fame his dunk was the Cleveland Highlight.
