Rookies make $12K/yr plus expenses. Overseas, I read that Butler, Skin and Jai are making between $5k and $10k a month for a five month season. <BR/><BR/>This story is a year old, but check it out. Yahoo! did a "George Mason One Year Later" series and talked about what these three guys go through to find the right fit overseas. If you don't have time to read them, here are the highlights:<BR/><BR/>1) Tony Skinn's first team in France thought they were getting a pass-first point guard...what the hell were they thinking?<BR/><BR/>2) Lamar Butler couldn't make out the food labels in the Czech Republic, but thought he was safe when he grabbed a bottle of milk. When he poured it on his cereal, he thought it was strange that it was so thick. One of his teammates pointed out that he bought cat milk.<BR/><BR/>3) Jai Lewis' teammates are all in the Israeli army and carry their m-16s with them to practice. Maybe someday he will get the chance.
