Erik Copes' monster block against VCU

The only video I could find on this was from George Mason's athletic site, and it's not the best quality and is hard to follow. However, I felt think this deserved its own post, a huge block by freshman Erik Copes that gave the Patriots a spark, then followed by him saluting the fans. Full highlights from the VCU game can be found by clicking the Video tab above.

If I remember correctly, right after the block, an official went over to Copes, looked into his eyes to take his temperature, and probably said something like, "Okay, you can come down from this and be able to 'play well with others,' right?"  Kinda funny.

i watch his big blocks and he always makes them with his right hand. Not complaining but if you notice he covers perimeter jumpers by going up with both hands- and he can leap!. What I'm getting at, and I mentioned this before is that if he starts blocking shots with his left hand he doesn't have to come across the shooter's body and will get a ton more.

But, again, not complaining.
